The "forming dryer" is a drying machine where molding and preliminary drying occur simultaneously. Numerous grooves, 5 to 10 mm wide and a few mm deep, are cut in the circumferential direction of the drum, and these two drums rotate in a way that they interlock to facilitate drying. Moreover, by passing a heating source such as steam through the inside of the drum, the material to be dried is pressed into each groove, and the temperature rapidly rises due to the thermal conduction of the groove surface.
